About Us:
Mukto Arts CIC is a community interest company dedicated to promoting arts, culture, and heritage, particularly within the British-Bangladeshi community. We focus on creating innovative projects that address mental health challenges, diaspora narratives and cultural preservation. Our latest project, Brit Bangla Heritage Fest: Dhamail, celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh through music, dance, and storytelling.
We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Part-Time
Administrative Assistant to support this exciting project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Brit Bangla Heritage Fest: Dhamail project.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordinating meetings with stakeholders and performers.
- Handle correspondence via email and phone, including managing project inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and manage documentation for the project.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, community partners, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
- Support event planning and logistics coordination for the festival.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a project-based role.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with social media platforms is an advantage.
- Interest in heritage, arts, and community-focused projects is desirable.
Contract Details:
- Fixed-term position for the duration of the Brit Bangla Heritage Fest: Dhamail project.
- Part-time hours (10–15 hours per week, flexible).
- Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
